Daffodils

We are studying plants in Science at the moment!

All of these daffodils were yellow at the start of our experiment. Can you work out how and why some of them have changed colour?

Levera ( Mantle of the Expert)

We received a letter from Brenda Hood, the Minister for Tourism in Grenada.
She asked us for some advice. She had been sent a proposal for a new hotel to be built in Levera, an area of great natural beauty in Grenada. She was concerned about the effect such a hotel might have on the local natural environment. Brenda asked us to research plants and animals living in Levera and come back to her with our opinion, based on our new found evidence, as to whether a hotel in Levera would be a good idea or not!
We found out as much as we could.
Then we worked together to present our findings.

Apologies for lack of blogging!

Sorry Skylarks' blog has not been active for a while. This has been due to some technical issues. Those issues have now been resolved and we are back up and running!

Den making!

      It was a bit windy!
      Make a flag...

How can we get these sticks to stand up?

Josh found a new way to carry his equipment!
  So did Curtis and Callum!

Building Grenada

To help us develop our map reading skills we worked together to build a model of Grenada in the hall, using the map to make sure our model was as accurate as possible.
We started with a blank space...

We looked carefully at the map...

...then we began to fill the space!

Rainforest

Grand Anse beach in St. George's

The airport.

We kept checking the map to make sure we were putting everything in the right place!
