The sounds of the rainforest

Unfortunately I cannot upload the video but feel free to pop in and see it. Year 3 have worked incredibly hard in music to create the sounds of the rainforest by using body percussion and rain sticks. I was really proud of them.

Marshmallow 3D shapes

Today the children got to create lots of tricky 3D shapes out of marshmallows and cocktail sticks. They are super at telling me the shapes properties!

Sour Dough South America

The children in skylarks really enjoyed making the sour dough and forming it into the shape of South America. We then got to paint the different countries and label them.

They all looked fantastic!

Andrew Jeffrey Maths Fun

We had a great afternoon with Andrew Jeffrey looking at Singapore maths. The children all worked really hard and enjoyed the challenges set.

Doubling numbers by playing connect four

The year threes worked hard doubling two digit numbers today by playing connect four! We found lots of us are great at doubling, and that a few of us like to cheat a little. Well done for working hard on the maths and with a friend in class.

Persuasive language

In Literacy we are focusing on persuasive techniques within language. Today we started our persuasive phrase bank, which we can add to with new ideas. The fun part of the lesson was trying to persuade our friend to buy a toy! There were some brilliant speeches! Below are a few photos of our funny lesson.
