Pyramid building!

To help us investigate the square based pyramid shape the Ancient Egyptians used to build their pyramids, we built our own pyramids using lots of different construction materials.

We had to make sure our pyramids had four triangular faces and one square face.

We also had a go at building the 'step pyramids' of early Ancient Egypt.

Sometimes we worked together as a team and sometimes we worked on our own.

We had a lot of fun! :)

Fitzwilliam museum trip

Our topic this term is Ancient Egypt!
Last week Skylarks visited The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge to see their fantastic Ancient Egyptian gallery.

The trip gave us an opportunity to see real Ancient Egyptian artifacts up close and use our historical inquiry skills to find out about them.
